Shipping & Returns

In-store Return Policy

  • No refunds; exchange or store credit only
  • Must present original receipt
  • Must be made within 5 days of purchase
  • Items must be new and in original packaging
  • All clearance/sale items are final
  • Store credit will be generated in the form of a receipt stating the amount which must be surrendered upon redemption
  • Store credit cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Store credit is valid for one year from issue date
  • No returns on media (books, CDs and DVDs)
  • No returns on tsampa (roasted  barley  powder)

Zambala, Inc. reserves the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of a product at any time for any reason

Online Orders

We require 2 business days to process online orders and prepare it for shipment, and in some circumstances processing may require customer approval or confirmation to complete.

  • United States shipments qualify for a flat rate shipping fee of $10 and are usually either delivered via USPS First Class Service, USPS Priority or UPS Ground. Domestic orders over $100 qualify for free shipping.
  • Expedited shipping is available for customers upon request.  Customer is responsible for the extra shipping cost, which is calculated by the weight, size, and destination.
  • International shipping is shipped by USPS International unless a courier service such as DHL, FedEx or UPS is requested.
  • International shipping is calculated by the weight, size and destination. We then notify customers of their shipping options and if necessary additional shipping charges.

Estimated Shipping Rates

Domestic

  • USPS Priority, takes between 3 - 5 business days, with tracking number, no tracking while in transit, tracking information available upon delivery.
  • USPS Express, takes between  1 - 2 business days, tracking available.

International

  • USPS International 1st class, within weight limits, takes 14 business days or more, no tracking or proof of delivery available.
  • USPS Priority International takes 5 - 10 business days or more.
  • USPS Global Express takes 3-5 Days, with tracking
  • Insurance coverage is availiable for an additional fee(if requested by customer)

Please note that we are not responsible for any customs, tax, and duties charged by the import department of your country, and additional delivery delays that can occur in-country customs inspections and security warnings. We do our best to complete International Customs forms accurately and legally with consideration for the recipient.  Gifts will be labeled as such and are often not subject to import duties.

We are not liable for delays or damages that are caused by Acts of God, riots, war and natural events or other events that we are not responsible for.

Online Return Policy

If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, you can return your items for store credit or exchange.

  • No refunds; exchange or store credit only
  • Customer must pay shipping costs of return(insurance recommended) and exchange items.
  • We will only pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.)
  • Returns must be made within 5 days of receiving product
  • Customer must contact us via email, fax, or phone to notify us of the return
  • Items must be new and in original packaging

How to return online orders

Enclose your packing slip, if included, and the merchandise in a package securely, then ship to the address below within 5 days of receiving the product. We cannot give store credit or exchange merchandise that is not received or arrives damaged, so we recommend that you insure your package (postage and insurance fees are non-refundable). Damaged/Defective Orders

We know that when ordering online, customers are unable to assess the condition of the product before purchase; so in the instance that the items you receive are damaged or defective we will be responsible for resolving the issue.

  • Customer must contact us and send pictures within 5 days of receiving the product and notify us if the items are defective or were damaged during shipping.
  • Defective or damaged items must be shipped back to us within the 5 days upon approval of the return; we will Generate and send you the shiping label for your convienence.
  • A replacement item will be shipped to the customer at our expense
  • If a replacement item is unavailable and you do not wish to exchange it for another item of equal value a refund will be issued

Special/On-Hold Orders

  • Special orders require a 50% down payment of the cost of the item
  • Special orders are not eligible for return
  • On-hold orders must be picked up within the agreed date

Antique Dzi Beads

  • Antique dzi beads have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee
  • May be returned at any time given the item is in original condition and has the original certificate of authenticity
  • Returns are subject to  10%~20% restocking fee of the original purchase price
